The New Leaf Dedication Ceremony
On October 23rd, Artist Marcus E. Brown, Columbia Parc, and the Bayou District Foundation were proud to formally dedicate The New Leaf and its message, “where education takes root, all things are possible” to the Bayou District community. Guests included the artist’s family and friends, Councilmember Cynthia Hedge-Morrell, members of the Arts Council of New Orleans, Columbia Parc residents, and Columbia Residential, Columbia Parc and Bayou District Foundation representatives.
We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the ceremony and all of those who have helped us support public art in New Orleans.
