Have you heard...the National Apartment Association (NAA) is featuring Columbia Parc on the front cover of its June issue of Units magazine. The accompanying article highlights how the residents of the former St. Bernard Housing Development and the surrounding area are overcoming extreme challenges. After Katrina’s floods left this area devastated and uninhabitable, there was much doubt that it would ever again be a place to live. Now, after years of effort in planning, designing, and building Columbia Parc, the neighborhood and its residents are thriving. The designer-accented homes and uncommon community amenities at Columbia Parc have exceeded everyone’s expectations. According to Deborah Maize, a former resident, who is also shown on the Units cover, her new home is like living at the White House. Another resident, Cynthia Harry fell in love with Columbia Parc and compares it to living at a resort.

NAA SPOTLIGHT
In addition to the Units cover story, the NAA highlighted Columbia Parc as one of New Orleans’ most innovative multifamily communities. During the national conference that was held in New Orleans this month, Columbia Parc was chosen among only three other properties as a tour destination for NAA members and attendees from across the country.

We thank the NAA for recognizing Columbia Parc and thank our residents for inspiring us to build something remarkable!
A NEW LEAF IS BUDDING
Artist Marcus Brown is making impressive progress on his Columbia Parc sculpture, A New Leaf. His concept was selected by popular vote by the public through our public sculpture contest held earlier this year. Envisioned as a monument that expresses the revitalization of the Bayou District, this towering sculpture will ultimately measure nearly 16 feet tall. Stay tuned for details regarding its formal unveiling and dedication this fall. In the meantime, keep up with the sculpture and Mr. Brown’s progress by visiting his site >
